The iPhone XR is widely considered to be Apple’s best iPhone right now for most people. This is mostly because the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are priced much higher and that hasn;t changed much since their launch late last year. The iPhone XR, on the other hand, has gotten more affordable. While it’s starting price online is typically around Rs 60,000, you can get the iPhone XR for as low as Rs 53,910 as well.
The iPhone XR is available on Amazon India starting at Rs 59,900, but some customers can purchase the 64GB storage model for Rs 53,910. This can be availed via a 10 per cent instant discount using an HDFC Bank Debit card over EMI or Credit card over EMI and non-EMI. This offer is valid until June 30, 2019 as per Amazon India.
Apple has been providing a similar offer on the iPhone XR offline as well at Apple Authorised stores. The effective price of the iPhone XR coming down to Rs 53,910 is a pretty great deal for a phone that is almost as good as the more premium iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.
The iPhone XR was initially launched starting at Rs 76,900 in India. In our recent long-term reviewof the iPhone XR, we said that the phone holds up well after six months as it continues to deliver the best battery life in an iPhone yet.
The iPhone XR sports a Series 7000 aluminium frame with glass on the front and back. Unlike the AMOLED panels on the iPhone XS and XS Max, the iPhone XR offers a 6.1-inch HD (1792×828) LCD, which looks great nonetheless. It is powered by a blazing fast A12 Bionic chipset paired with a smooth and optimised iOS 12 software. The 12-megapixel f/1.8 sensor camera can capture natural and detailed shots in daylight, but the iPhone XR fails to compete against the likes of newer flagships phones that offer night modes for low-light photography.
