New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: Today is the last day to apply for the Joint Preliminary Examination of Civil Services and Indian Forest Service (IFS) of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Candidates will be able to register by 6 pm.

Interested and eligible candidates should apply for UPSC Prelims 2020 as soon as possible. Do not wait for the last date, because in the last moments of application, there is a possibility of registration due to high traffic on the UPSC website.

The notification of the UPSC Civil Service Pre Exam was released on 12 February. The examination will be conducted on May 31.

For online application visit UPSC website upsconline.nic.in. Here all the instructions related to the application are given. While applying, it is necessary to have a voter card / Aadhaar card / PAN card/ driving license/ passport or other photo identity card issued by the central or state government.

Details of the photo identity card will have to be given while filling the form. Also, a copy of the identity card must be scanned and uploaded.

The application form will be filled in two parts.

Part I includes submission of basic information like Name, Gender, DOB, parent’s name, nationality, marital status, education qualification, address, among others, while Part II includes online payment, selection of exam center, uploading photo, signature and photo identity card.

According to the official visit, candidates who are exempted from payment of fee can skip steps 14 to 16.

Once you successfully complete the registration online, an auto-generated email message will be sent on your registered email-id.

UPSC is the country’s premier central recruiting agency. There will be 796 recruitments through UPSC Preliminary Examination. Out of this, 24 vacancies are reserved for the disabled.
